5 comments:

  1. 1. The first 10 mostly talk about the equality of the German people, and that no non-Germans are allowed to be citizens.

    2. I mean. Its not all completely unreasonable. #9 states that all citizens must take equal parts in duty, and have equal rights, which sounds pretty good.

    3. The biggest theme (that I see) is the power and unity of the State.

    4. The reason Hitler had so many followers, is because he made sense. The things he said were not completely crazy and unreasonable (typically). All of this seems good, until you try to implement it and end up going down the rabbit hole and everything turns out horribly.

    5. I think so. A big thing is unity, to bring the country together, to work together towards a common goal. Thats something that people just eat up, the idea of a strong nation. They want to feel like they're a part of something big. Making the country a better place. These 25 points seem to have all the answers, the goal is to bring everyone together, be strong, eliminate anything that would threaten that. This could work to fix unfair wages, education, threats to the people, etc...

  2. 1. These are about how only pure bpoided Germans deserve rights and their needs are put above any non-german.

    2. Back then, this wouldn't be unreasonable, it was the way of life. There's only a couple that seemed reasonable to me. Nowadays, if any politician said anything similar to the points, they'd be accused of racial discrimination. The only politician I could relate this to was Trump but saying that is taking things to the extreme.

    3. These points are about taking peoples rights and making it look like they're getting more. He wants total control/power over everyone and everything.

    4. Some of the points were reasonable, others weren't.

    5. Politicians are somewhat running on these ideas. History always repeats itself in some way. I read two articles to figure out how to answer this 😂 one was arguing why Trump was the new Hitler and the other argued why comparing Trump to Hitler was insane. I can see why both sides are almost right. The article that said he was like trump stated how trump and hitler want and believe similar things. Hitler wanted foreigners out and his people in, which is the same as Trump. As I've stated before calling Trump the modern Hitler is too extreme. Trump, unlike Hitler, isn't out there on a killing spree and believes in democracy which makes Trump nothing like Hitler.

I think people can connect with the message because it was made to sound good on the surface but ended up doing more bad than good (heheh like obamacare)

Concerns average citizens have that Nazis could fix is to make their country unified and strong

  3. 1. 1-10 are talking about how Germans should have the same rights as everybody else and that they will only except Germans into their region.

    2. The points are reasonable but also unreasonable in a way of separating one kind from all others. it partially sounds a little like something Trump is trying to do, with not allowing immigrants to enter the country such as Mexicans, who are the main target.

    3. He basically is trying to run everybody's lives and setting all of these standards that are and is limiting a lot of people. Non Germans have to have specific guidelines when they do certain things or anything.. I think he is asking for a little too much, like replacing one religion for his German religion.

    4. One of the points that seemed only reasonable to me was the freedom of all religious faiths in the state. I don't know any politicians or party that sound like that.

    5. I think there politicians have and are running on some of these ideas, although they aren't as demanding and forcible as the Germans were. One reason I think people can connect with this type of message is because it seems very reasonable and some of the things could actually help but in reality, it wouldn't play out so neatly and I don't think any of it would go as planned. A concern that the average citizen might have is how can we bring everybody together to become something stronger than what we are now and better.

  4. 1. german citizen rights

    2. they don’t sound sound too unreasonable

    3. the common theme is making the lives of german citizens better and uniting germany

    4. it reminds me of donald trump trying to make promises

    5. people connect because they want to live a happier and easier life. the nazi party would increase their income, give poor children an education, religious freedom, etc
